To cast an entertaining spotlight on Hong Kong’s “food and wine” year, we paired the destination’s only Michelin-starred chef Alvin Leung (until then unknown in the U.S.) with well-known California chef Sam Zien in amusing cooking demonstrations on TV morning shows in Los Angeles and San Diego (two of Hong Kong’s top markets,) in a friendly rivalry that had each preparing very different dishes using the same ingredients.
